Anja McCloskey is a half-German, half-American singer and accordionist based in Southampton, England. Ever since her grandpa started playing his accordion to her as a little child she has wanted to play it too.
“I just love the deep and full sounds and the little quirky noises the accordion makes and I don’t know any other instrument that can be so versatile and expressive”.
Having played in various bands (The Irrepressibles, Haunted Stereo, Moneytree) and worked with solo artists (Katy Carr, Jake Flowers, Helen McCookerybook, Ana Silvera), I decided to start my own project in 2010. The “Turn-Turn-Turn” EP was released on Sotones Records in September that year and in February 2011 we toured the work in the USA.

Based in East London and formed just over a year ago, Bronze Medallists have already released their debut single ‘Mathematics’ on exciting indie label, Tape Club Records, and completed a full UK tour supporting The Feeling. Their music has been championed by radio DJs including Ally McCrae (BBC R1), John Kennedy (XFM), Bethan Elfyn (6 Music), and Jim Gellatly (Forth FM, Clyde FM).
‘Mathematics’ is a minimal, dystopian love song that combines electronic glitches with the sound an old piano found in the drummers garage and, and is like everything the band have done so far, recorded at home. The jaw-droppingly beautiful video is directed by David Higgs.
The single’s B-side ‘Binary Girl’ is about falling in love, but through and with the screens of iPhones and laptops – an absurd Kurzwellian projection about how the lines of the physical and virtual are getting tangled.

Salami’ – is a rare breed of musician that the world has been craving since the height of storytelling legends like Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon and Neil Young. Not quite folk, not quite indy, not quite common and certainly not boring, L.A. Salami’s lyricism and voice are hypnotic. His uncanny ability to deliver a story through a song with twists and emotions that are so incredibly human makes his music instantly relatable. With a cool voice, beautiful guitar, and masterful words, L.A. has a distinctness to his art that is inherently lacking amongst other young musicians today.

From quirky, stripped-back techno injected with soul to deep, dub-inflected excursions, Deepchild has earned himself a reputation as groundbreaking producer, respected DJ and electrifying live-performer. Based in Berlin, the Australian artist has performed at many of the world’s most respected electronic music institutions: legendary gatherings like Detroit’s own Movement Festival and EXIT in Serbia, and the cream of European and American nightclubs — including numerous appearances at Berlin’s legendary Berghain and Tresor, amongst hundreds of others. Well loved and highly acclaimed for his dynamically personal take on techno and house, Deepchild’s passion for exploration of the form precedes him — reflected by an irrepressible fanbase and glowing critical praise.
A demanding international tour schedule, his chart-topping new album Neukölln Burning, and a string of successful 12-inches have solidified Deepchild’s reputation as a pioneering underground producer. Playing shows alongside the likes of Richie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Jeff Mills, Seth Troxler, Abe Duque, Jesse Rose, Dixon, Sebo K, M.A.N.D.Y, Ewan Pearson and Will Saul, accompanied by remix work for legendary producers New Order and Booka Shade have earned respect and admiration from peers and fans alike. His original productions and remixes have featured on labels such as Trapez, Thoughtless, Highgrade, Resopal, Anabatic, Get Physical, Freerange and BEEF Records.

Hell, no. The Puppini Sisters are Marcella’s bit of fun. Now meet her real band, the epic art-indie-rock outfit of misfits and drama queens with whom Marcella can tear open her soul. Marcella and the Forget Me Nots may be glamorous, but they’re not lovely or charming. They are a scream in the dark, a pulse of desire, the glint of a knife. And they are Marcella’s pride and joy.

Blest with an unusual maturity for his age and a great sense of humor, Jacko is definitely a man foredoomed to success.
His first EP, From Home, is a fair example of his honesty. It is been recorded and produced in his own house where he has support from his family and other musicians-friend. An intimate first work delivered from inside.

Now creating their own music and sound, they have developed an authentic powerful sound. They give exciting live performances and their energy is unique on stage. They have been playing a lot of concerts in Paris, sometimes supporting Peter Doherty in some of his french shows. Their first album in English is now available in France (Fnac, Virgin Megastore). They are now preparing a new album, which will be dedicated to French lyrics songs.
